Montana E-Bikes - E-Bike Repair Services

We are a full-service Aventon e-bike retailer & repair shop. We do tune-ups, repairs, and warranty work for all Aventon e-bikes. You can get your Aventon warranty work done through us even if you purchased the e-bike somewhere else. We can do tune-ups for all styles of e-bikes, but if you need a repair of a non-Aventon e-bike please call us first at 406-200-8495 and let us know what is going on with your e-bike and we will let you know if that is something we can handle.

E-Bike Tune-Up Packages

It is important to take care of your e-bike with routine tune-ups. As a rule, we recommend a basic tune-up every year or 800-1200 miles. All of our tune-ups also include a thorough safety check and test ride by our mechanic.

Tune Up 1: The Black Bear - $70

This is the Montana E-Bikes standard tune-up and is recommended every year or 800-1200 miles. This is what it includes:

  • Inspection of frame and components

  • Cleaning and inspection of derailer, cassette, and chain (cleaning components on the bike)

  • Headset, bottom bracket, and hub inspection (and lube if necessary)

  • Brake adjustments and brake rotor inspection and straightening (if needed)

  • Derailleur adjustment

  • Check all fasteners

  • Lube chain

  • Air Tires

Tune Up 2: The Grizzly Bear - $120

This is the next level tune-up and includes everything in “The Black Bear” but also includes:

  • Removal and thorough cleaning of drivetrain, chain, and components and lubrication

Other

  • There may be other costs associated with your tune-up such as brake bleeds, brake pad replacement, replacing cables, hub overhauls, etc. If this comes up, we will communicate the price to you in advance and get your authorization.

  • The price assumes the bike is in normal condition, but there any be an additional charge for bikes that are excessively dirty and take more than normal labor time.

E-Bike Repair Service Costs

Flat Fix: $15 per tire. Additional charge for the new tube if needed

Tire Sealant Install: $5 per tire

Wheel Truing: $50 per wheel. Additional charge for replacement nipples and spokes

Derailleur Adjustment: Hanger Straightening: $20

Hydraulic Brake Bleed: $35 per brake, including fluids

Brake Adjustment: $20 (Brake pads sold separately)

Replace Brake Pads: $20 per set (Brake pads sold separately)

Front Fork Service (Aventon Bikes Only): $65

New E-Bike Assembly & Safety Check: $150 (bring the boxed bike to us or have it shipped to our store)

Box bike for shipment/airplane: $95 (includes box, packing material, and labor)

Other E-Bike repair services will be charged at our hourly rate: $75 per hour
